Question about Zebra Z4M Printer
I switched from 5" labels to 18mm labels, but calibration doesn't work. It "thinks" labels are still 5" in lenght, and it spits out about 7 blank 18mm labels an then actually prints one (andt the next one as well)
I tried setting MEDIA POWER UP ans HAED CLOSE settings to 'calibrate' but it seems to have no effect.
You need to run the internal media sensor calibration setup that is built into the menu. This can take a few minutes but will solve this problem. The machine needs to be setup for the media you are running. This is no fun if you have to change a lot during a day and each media type has diferent qualities. It ususually happens when you are using labels from one manufacturer and then switch to a diferent brand. The backing material has diferent characteristics that the machine needs to be setup to be able to handle.

Your problem is that you are getting pretty close to the minimum size label. Download new drivers from the Nice Label website or Seagull Scientific website as they will handle small labels better than the standard Zebra drivers - the driver will require setting for the small label
