Altius mp3 player not charging

According to the Altius manual:

Make sure the power is switched to the "ON" position.
For a full charge, leave the unit connected to the PC for 3 to 4 hours.
Do not press any button while charging, otherwise charging will automatically stopped.

Only charge the battery after it has run out, otherwise it will shorten the life of the battery.

I can't get my mp3 player to sync up to my will play the demos on the player but thats all...its an eclipse cl2blk...i have windows vista with windows media player

You may have too much music on your laptop so it won't sync with the mp3 player but you could try and copy and paste music from your music source to the mp3 player.

My MP3 player won't connect to my laptop

Open up your windows media player on your computer and select the sync tab on the upper righthand side .Plug In your MP3 Player and now It should be recognized there on the right pane window when you use the sync feature on windows media player !! Drag your music files from your library to this area and they should sync to your player using the button in the lower right hand corner area . I believe it will say sync or sync device !! My Phillips Go Gear 8GB MP3 player wont sync music

Windows Media Player 11 ruins this player. Uninstall Windows Media Player 11, and roll back to Windows Media Player 10. Then use version 10 to sync songs to your device.

Having difficulty sycing music files to my mp3

If you try to sync too many songs at once, you will overload the player - don't sync more than 10 at a time. Reset your player, and take notice of the last song that was synched - because that particular file may be corrupt.

Assistance in downloading from laptop to mp3 Player Model MA933A

Connect Mp3 player to computer.
Go to start -> programs -> Windows Media Player
Look on the left-hand side for an icon that says either Nextar or "Portable Device"
Click on the "Sync" tab
Drag music files to sync tab and click "Start Sync"

This is very much the Reader's Digest version - many steps were left out - go to to get full click-by-click instructions with pictures

Here's the link to the manual, but this is THE WORST manual I have ever seen for an Mp3 player:

IRiver H10 - Cannot update playlists

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
