Question about Canon PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One Printer
The same thing happened to my canon mp160. I didn't want to risk playing with the wires so i just diligently cleaned out the broken glasses to make sure that the scanner mechanism (the little bar that scans) can move back and forth freely. This essentially makes your machine to operate as normal b/c there's nothing to obstruct the scanning 'bar' from powering up, etc. You might keep on getting error messages, but i was able to override them by holding the reset button and powering the thing on and off. Just making sure that there are no obstructions in the mechanism seems to be the key.
