The whole rear passenger side tail light distorting to a melting

Sounds like you might have gotten a bad connection in the light and the increase resistance caused increased temperature causing the lens to melt. I would think you need to find a replacement tail lamp.

57915531 pulls 22.5 amps, should not pull over 15 amps, why? voltage is 117,filter and fins are clean, cools fine and motor does not appear to have any issues. could capacitors be causing this?

run capacitor can lose some of it's value & cause increase in amp draw. i would look at breaker. remove it & look for evidence of over heating on contact point & bus bar where it plugs in. your line voltage shoul be a solid 120 to 130 volts. measure voltage as it starts up see what voltage value drops to. increased amp draw causes a increase in heat at problem points.

How i can find the horsepower of a DT466

From the factory the DT466 could be purchased in trucks with HP options up to 250-275 HP. If you choose to increase much more than that you will start to have some reliability issues.

How much you can increase depends on several isses.

The more you increase the HP the greater your cooling needs will become, especially on an uphill grade. Inceasing your HP 20% may require 100% increase in cooling capacity. Marine applications don't count because keel coolers have the whole ocean for heat exchange.

The ease of increase depends upon which pump you have. The electronic pump is a software upgrade. Inline mechanical pumps are easier to increase than the mechanical rotary type pump.

Depending on what transmission you have behind your DT466 will also determine how much of an increase in HP you can use. 250-275 HP is about the limit for MT-series Allison transmissions. More than that you will need the HT-series if you want reliability.

Stick shifts will be limited to the size of the clutch. Much more than the 250-275 HP range will require a larger clutch which may require a different flywheel.

If you have repowered a truck that didn't have the DT466 in it from the factory, increasing the HP can also cause driveline and chassis problems. The most signigicant would be the driveshaft may not be able to handle the increased HP and torque, particularly on a downshift while going uphill. You may also experience frame torque causing on starts and shifts causing your frame to crack or break.

How do i increase pressure

If the unit is operating at factory pressure, don't try to increase it. Pumps and motors are designed to run at a particular horsepower load. If you increase psi, you can blow pump or motor, or cause other damage, not to mention possible injury.
If pressure is actually low, nozzle could be clogged, or worn out. Other causes should be repaired by professional.

Want to exhaust my generator out my garage window

Do NOT do this, it is dangerous and can cause carbon monixide death. All engine back pressures are calculated for a given exhaust and length. Increasing this can increase back pressure and cause leaks ! Not recommended

I am looking to increase my lil 1996 xlt does rangers horse power it is a v6 4L auto and I was gonna put in a cold air intake was wondering if this us a good idea or any other sujestions on what to so I...

Cold air will help and free flowing exhaust. Headers and duals would give you the increased HP you are looking for. Make sure all sensors are reinstalled on any mods.

Car is using more significantly more fuel lately. new spark plugs cleaned MAF sensor. no obvious fuel leaks. car seems to be underperforming at random times. What's causing the increase in fuel...

a fuel pump will not increase fuel consumption unless there is a leak, which you say there is none.a change in driving habits can increase it without knowing the habits have changed.some times poor gas quality can cause this or when a fuel company changes its additives when switching from a winter type mixture to a summer mixture.if the thermostat hasn`t been changed for a long time this can cause an increase if fuel consumption,as the coolant sensor will send a signal to the computer that the engine is not up to operating temperature and it needs to increase injector on time(spray more fuel).a tired coolant sensor(rarely),the throttle position sensor(tps)can cause this(on rare occasions)possibly a partially plugged fuel filter as you have to push on the gas farther to get enough fuel to accelerate the car.

Does exhaust leakage result in more fuel consumption? If it does how?

HI. In a way, yes. The increase is slight and not very much. it all depends on how you drive your vehicle under this type of condition.

Basically; the nature of a modern exhaust assembly is very restrictive, due to the emissions standards of today's laws. When a exhaust leak occurs, this will cause a slight relief of the restricted nature of the system, thus, allowing the engine to "slightly" breath a bit more. This state will increase the HP rate, slightly, thus, causing a small increase in fuel consumption. It will also cause the sound of the exhaust system to increase, slightly, as well.

The increase of HP and fuel consumption is very small, and it will not be noticed. You may only notice the difference in the sound of the engine, but that is about it.

Sounds like a load miss. Chk plug wires for deterioration and or cross firing. Wires should not cross over each other. Worn plugs load wires causing increase spark out put increasing cross firing potential
