Question about IBM NetVista PC Desktop

Windows XP. Installed FSX std. Ran on demo cause it wouldnt register. 60 min up. GOT BSOD!!

Well... It started like this. I am running Windows XP Home on a HOME BUILT PC ( i know it says ibm netvista. it isn't) and I installed Microsoft Flight Simulator X Std Edition and ran it and it would not register. BUGGER. So i ran it in the demo mode and the it went well until the 60 minutes was Up. BUGGER BUGGER. And so... I exited out and............ I got the BSOD. Now i cant give you any tech information 'bout it but i have a feeling it might be a fault in FSX the caused a fault in the hard drive. So, I know what you probebly would suggest. UNINSTALL IT!! I would and i DID. But it didnt work either. I'm in a big dilemma on what to do. If you could help at ALL, PLEASE DO SO. Any help accepted. thanks puppy

FSX = ****!

It sounds like a RAM issue. FSX needs a minimum of a dual core processor, a good quality graphics card (512Mb min) and 4Mb ram. The "not responding" is caused by the PC having to try to get a large amount of data into a small amount of ram, or the processor is struggling to cope.

FSX Not responding. Uninstalled every application and add-on. Re-installed FSX, but still will not respond

This is a registry issue. Get yourself a good registry cleaning program, uninstall FSX, reboot the PC. Run teh reg cleaner, then reboot. Now you will be able to install FSX okay. Good luck

If you can run it in safe mode, have you tried doing a system restore to a previous restore point (one that was at a time when you could start the machine)? Sometimes software or drivers that are installed can cause problems and restoring back to a previous good state may resolve the issue.

Problem with FSX Demo setup

You need to find the directory where it has installed, usually in C:\program files\Microsoft games\FSX and then locate the .exe file. Right-click the mouse over this icon, holding the right button down, drag the icaon onto the desktop, release the mouse button and when teh small menu appears choose "create shortcut here" option.

Then you can start the program using the new icon on your desktop. As for playing it, you need to read the manual as it would take too long here to explain it. Good luck
