Hi i have a blanco electric oven model no bms 901 sse and the timer shows A and no time . And the oven does not work can u please help me
I had a similar problem with the same model of Blanco Oven but in my case the clock was completely dead apart from the letter A which was lit (and this proved there was power to the oven).
The oven would not work because the clock module (electronics control unit) was dead.
I rang a Blanco parts supplier, who advised the clock module was no longer available (Blanco advised the same). Another supplier said they could supply the clock module for A$425 which is an absolute ripp off (a reasonable price would be A$50 as it only has a couple of components).
As the clock module is not essential (it only provides the time, alarms, and fancy features most people don't need) I decided to by-pass it by shorting out the two (brown) wires on the LHS (which connect to the relay on the clock module). In effect it behaves as if the relay is always ON, supplying power to the stove.
The oven now gets power and works fine and it cost me virtually nothing to repair. I strongly recommend this solution to anyone experiencing problems with the clock module.
Some basic understanding of electrical/electronics systems is all that is needed to implement this repair.
