Check that they're in the light green port for speakers, not the pink port (for a microphone).

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Aiwa music centre

If you have power but no sound, check the speaker wiring on the back for shorts, if okay suspect the audio output chips. The unit will need to be dismantled for a closer look, check for open fuses, sometimes that will get it working.

I have just been given a pair of aiwa speakers sx-fz1800,there is two cables comming out of the back, which one do i use.

One pair goes to bigger speaker (woofer) and other pair for smaller speakers in box, to get full frequency response, you need to hook both cables.

Integrate computer (huge MP3 library) into home theater sound (AIWA's fantastic speakers)

Sounds like the wiring for the speakers has been modified to bypass the crossover. Best to open up the speakers and see if there is a crossover. Both speakers should be wired to a crossover and the crossover wired to the speaker out on the amp. Crossovers can be bought from Jaycar in Aust or Madisound in US
