Question about Canon PIXMA MP970 InkJet Printer
I simply went to turn my printer on and it would not work. Absolutely nothing happens. I purchased it in August of '08 and it has worked great. But for some reason today it simply would not work. I checked to make sure everything was connected correctly, power cord in particular and it is. What do I do next? Thanks!
Try a different power cord and if that doesn't work then log a call with canon as your product is less then 12 months old it is still under warranty

If you can get to the printhead to remove it, it is the most likely suspect. If the printer powers up with the printhead removed, than you need a new printhead. I would contact Canon as they will still cover under warranty up to a month over.
