1. log into the router and check the status log for connectivity. 192.168.1.1 is the ip to the GUI ( graphical user interface. 2. If you have connection with the ISP then you have an issue with the PS3 if it is dropping every 10 minutes.
Google GMail Settings The Google GMail service offers email client access for retrieving and sending emails through your Gmail account. However, for security reasons, GMail uses POP3 over an SSL connection, so make sure your email client supports encrypted SSL connections.
Google Gmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.gmail.com (SSL enabled, port 995)
Outgoing Mail Server - use the SMTP mail server address provided by your local ISP or smtp.gmail.com (SSL enabled, port 465)
this has helped me in the past.. i hope it helps you out
Been troubled lately by that pesky DNS error? Notice that your PS3
can still browse the net, but not log in? Happen to be a Roadrunner
customer? Happen to have any other ISP with a crummy DNS server? Well
then read on...
The main issue turns out to be a
Roadrunner (or any other ISP's) DNS problem. The fix is simple. When
configuring your PS3 network (regardless of wired or wireless), use the
manual option. If you use DHCP, leave address resolution at automatic
BUT CHANGE THE DNS SERVER ENTRY TO MANUAL.
I replaced the
Roadrunner (or any other ISP's) DNS entries with addresses from the Open
DNS project which is a free, secure DNS server that anyone can use.
It's safe, easy, and works.
The DNS addresses are:
replaced, you should have no problem logging in.
here is the url i got it from http://boardsus.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network/Solution-for-your-DNS-error-80710102-problems-Works-for-all-ISP/m-p/42264211/message-uid/42264211
This problem is difficult to trace.
You could be getting some kind of elecrical/wireless interference. This is difficult to trace. If you have the TV on when the router drops off, have you noticed any electrical interference on the TV screen? It could be as simple as someone using an arc welder in your area. Or a neighbour heating up something in their microwave oven (this oven can be faulty and is leaking microwave energy). If you can identify the source of interference then you may find a solution. There are a few things you can try. Get a surge protection power board and connect your computer equipment and wireless router to this power board. You can configure the wireless router to a different channel, one that is not used by your neighbours so that the wireless signals won't interfer with each other. Have a look at the signal strength to your computer, if it is weak then move the router away from walls and/or raise it higher to improve the signal strength.
Gmail could care less if you have a Unix PC, 64bit Vista or cell phone. It's something with the PC or connection. Have you tried it on another PC? What's the error message? There is a "less secure" connection it allows you to use if the login takes too long.
there might be lots of issues if u r not able to connedct to the internet......first check the connection from the wall socket to the tower .........if u r sing a dsl connection if u r usinfg a dial up check the connction from the wall socket to the modem ...............then if u r using a dsl connectio then go to safe mode with networking by tappinf F8 when ur system boots up........then try login in if u r able to log in then ithe issue might be with firewall or norton.....if u r using a norton......if not then click on start---run---type cmd-----then u will be able to see a black and white screen and then type ipconfig.......if the ip add is 169.....it is an automatically generated ip address if u get ip add starting with 192..then u might have the issue with the routewr remove the router and try connecting i.....if u get a valid ip as 10.98.55.56.....or something that does not start with 169 or 192 then ur isp is fine and u should be able to connect to internet .,,,,,even if u have a valid ip and if u r not able to connect to the internet then lower the security level ....and delete cokiees,,history and temp files it will connect.........................................but if u r using a dial up then u might have some error code if u have any error code go to google.com type in the error code u will get a resolution bcoz discussing an dial issue is very difficult to type in here ...............................even in dsl there is a huge troubleshooting steps i have typed in a small step if u r still not able to resolve the issue then shoot a mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.....iwill definetly look for a resolution...........
