SOURCE: Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 082) Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

It happened to me twice and the solution is very simple: have a Gateway T6524 with 2 Hard Drives and XP SP3 (HD0 has the system on C and D partition, and HD1 is for backup). The first time the error happened is after a windows update and the second time was after I installed the neat receipt software and I had to reboot because it was stuck. So basically, the solution that worked for me was to disconnect HD1 and reboot. Problem fixed! I reconnected HD1 later on (after shutdown of course), and making sure that the BIOS was properly setup in regard to boot sequence for Hard Drives.

Can't boot up Windows 7? I've been having trouble with my Dell Inspiron N5110 lately and now can't even boot up Windows. The black screen reads the following:

That error means that either the boot order is wrong and it is trying to boot from a network source that cannot be found OR the hard drive has failed and it cannot boot from that so it moved to the next boot device which is PXE and once again, there is no network. Check the boot order in the BIOS setup by pressing the key that it says to on start up and look for boot category. If the order is right or the hard drive is not on the list, replace the drive

As soon as you power on your PC, start pressing the F2 key. This should bring up the BIOS (Basic Input Output Systems) screen. Make sure your Hard Drive is listed in the Boot order. Usually a CD drive is listed first, then the Hard Drive as a second boot device. If you do not see the Hard Drive listed, then it probably is bad and needs replacing. If it is listed correctly in the boot order, your Operating System has crashed, and you will need the recovery disks or the instalation disk for your Operating System (XP, Win7,etc.)

From the description it is the hard drive, remove hardware and reseat back into position, sometimes this will restart the hard drive, if no change chances are you will need it replaced, but I would suggest getting it tested first.

Your message indicates that Pxe Boot is enabled (boot from lan card), go to bios settings and from the list of first boot options, please select the hard disk (hdd) or Cd-rom as the first boot device, reboot your system and check whether this helps or not.
It is also necessary to disconnect and reconnect your dvd/cd rom's power cable and data cable.
If you don't know how to do, then just reset the bios settings to "load default" ...
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.
