How to install a power steering high pressure line on a 1998 olds 88 regency

Hi,
You will need line wrenches to get the line off the steering gear assembly (tight in there near the frame sub assembly) First you will want to remove the drive belt from the power steering pump. Then remove the bolts from pump to bracket and lift pump up. On back of pump, remove low pressure line and drain fluid into a container. Under pump, remove high pressure line, and push it downward toward floor. From under car, follow the line to the steering gear, ( the line may have a keeper clamp or two for stationary support to remove along the way) then detach. Installation is reverse of disassembly........Not fun, but doable.....Mike

I have a 1987 Olds Delta 88 Brougham> It has a plastic drain plug that is on the drivers side of the radiator. The knob is broken and can be pulled from the radiator. Can you replace this part or...

You can get these at the parts store. The one at this link should fit: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Motormite-Radiator-Drain-Plug/1987-Oldsmobile-88/_/N-iiruxZ91sqv?counter=0&itemIdentifier=98889_0_2826_

I know it's not the kind you had, but it will work. All you really need is a plug. You can even forget about the petcock (lots of cars don't have them anymore) and just remove the lower radiator hose to drain the system.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Where is the oil drain plug on the 88 c.i.H.D.2003

On all Softail models, look along the bottom of the oil tank from the right side of the bike. You'll see a line or hose going downward towards the transmission. Usually, unless the changed something, the line will come out along the frame down below and behind the transmission. There will be a plug in the end of the line. Remove the plug to drain the oil.

Good luck

Is it o k to bend the thermocouple tip. The only way my Mr. Heater will stay lit is to tilt the heater so the pilot flame bathes the thermocouple tip, but i heard that bending could disable it.

Bending it will ruin it. You need to find out why the pilot flame is not as strong as it should be.

It is usually caused by bugs or spiders having gotten into the small air mix jet of the pilot assembly and died or built a web or, there is some dirt from the fuel that is partially clogging the fuel tube leading up to the pilot assembly, or plugging the orifice.

Where is the oil drain plug on the 2003 dyna 88 cubic inch?

Since a Dyna's oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission, so is the drain plug. There are two drain plugs. The one on the left side is the oil drain. The one closer to the center is the transmission drain plug.

Have a Mr. Heater 175000 BTU that is leaking at the bottom were the drain plug is located. The O-ring is cracked, I need a replacement for the O-ring. What size do I get?

Tip the heater up so that the fuel is away from the drain plug hole and take the plug to an auto parts store. They have bulk o-rings there and can fit the needed O'ring to your plug.

I checked the parts manual:

http://www.mrheater.com/upload/newsletter/mh_50_75_125_150_175_210_BL.pdf

There is no drain plug listed for the tank. Only the tank assy. (Item 2)

You might even be able to get a copper crush washer similar to what is used on an automobile or motorcycle oil drain plug.
