I think in those circumsrances best to buy another. With some of that equipment you cannot strip it right down to the faulty bit because it is swaged or riveted together. Also it is safety-critical equipment and now you cannot trust it.

Why wont my 1/4 ton ajax transmission jack hold a transmission

Get a repair kit, install the parts, fill the chamber with fluid, and tighten the nut so noting leaks. Or get a new Jack.

Cannot reattach our insinkerator 444-3

If your motor was humming, and the cutter disk rotated freely, then replace disposal with same brand so it fits without removing the sink basket.
It is always best to take a few photos before taking something apart.
That being said, You probably need to lift the disposal higher and evenly so the ring can grab the disposal body.
Get a small jack. Put wood block on bottom of disposal so jack does not break disposal. Use jack to list disposal into exact position for reattachment.

Broken dc jack on acer 3003ln

If the internal DC Power Jack is loose, you will have totake the laptop apart to repair it. The DC Power Jack is on themotherboard and most times it is soldered to the motherboard. That meansyou will have to desolder the old one and solder a new one in it's place. Sometimes the dc power jack sits in a slot between the bottom case and palmrestwhich hold it in place and has a cable harness that plugs into the motherboard.

I have a CSW 740 bought new and now about 5 years old. For some reason the speakers suddenly quit. The headset jack works but the speakers not at all. CSW techs said unplug the unit, press the power...

Hi, ok you can test if the speakers are working inside the CSW 740 stereo radio by opening it up with screw driver.

After opening it up, use an AA finger battery with two wires to test if the speakers inside the radio are still functioning..

After testing the speakers, and they are fine and working properly, that means the sound IC that makes the sound comes out through the speakers is damaged and will need to be replaced..

I guess that will do..

Good luck

How to change transmission fluid on a sealed transmission

I would first suggest taking it to someone who works on transmissions as it requires removing the filter pan on the bottom of the transmission. If you have had the car since new and never changed the fluid or don't know the last time it was serviced the best advice I can give you is to take it to a reputable mechanic or transmission repair shop and have them service the transmission. When you only change the fluid that comes out of the pan and filter you are only changing about 30% to 40% of the fluid the rest is in the torque converter which needs to be drained as well. Then there is the problem of disposing of the fluid if you do it yourself. It can be difficult to find someone to take the oil. If you decide to do it yourself it will also require a jack to lift the car, jack stands to hold the car up. NEVER EVER work under a car held up by the jack alone. This is the biggest reason I suggest letting someone else do this for you.

I took apart my kenmore seires 90 washer not knowing what i was doing. i took out the tree bolts holding the transmission on and a c-clip holding what apears to be brake parts. how do i get it back...

See the following:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=137

The brake is a part of the spin tube.

The clip you removed is probably for the clutch.

Also see the following Whirlpool Service and parts manuals for their top load, direct drive washers.

Plays only thru one speaker or one headphone one side just wont play

Sounds like your headphone jack is messed up you can get replacement parts and a repair guide for this at ifixit.com. the website is www.ifixit.com ... they do show you step by step the process of removing the faceplate and where all the screws are at on the ipod. I took mine apart to replace the hard drive ... It was very helpful. the replacement parts are more reasonable than you would think ... hope this helps

Washer kenmore 80 series wont spin

Hello, I had the same problem with my Ge washer. It would fill but it wouldn't spin or drain. I contact Ge and they sent out a repair man. He took it all apart and said it was the transmission. He also said That you can unplug it and lift the lid 3 or 4 times and sometimes that will reset the machine. Hope it all works out for you

Shutting itself down

Its usually not a fault that you will see unless somethings burnt up. This is solid state electronics and you dont see this stuff go bad. But in the meantime try disconnecting the speakers and see if it still goes into shutdown and at the same time have a dc multimeter attached to the speaker outputs. If the unit comes on and you dont see any DC at all or very very little B+ on both speaker terminal sets then you may have a defective speaker. If you do see dc then thats why the protections comming on so you dont blow out your speakers. If you dont have any equipment or dont have any electronics experience I would then take the unit to a repair person for an estimate. Good Luck
