Question about GE Tritonr XL GSD6260JCC Dishwasher

Open Question

Diswasher will not run a normal cycle

I have a GE Triton model: GSD5500G03BB
Our power went out today and the first time I tried to use the diswasher when the power came back on the soap lach opened when I locked the machine. Now I cannot get a normal cycle to run. I've tried holding in the reset button but it's not working. This happened once before and someone came out and got it reset for me, but it cost 200.00. Any advice is appreciated

My dryer is taking 2-3 cycles to dry clothes most of the time, but last night it did two loads the first try and then is back to 2-3 cycles today.

Remove the connecting vent material from the rear of the dryer. Run a regular cycle. If it dries normally, find and clean the blockage in the connecting vent.

Ge dishwasher not drying

1 make sure heated dry is on.
2 run your cycle and when it says drying open the dishwasher. see if it has steam coming out.
3 give me your whole model number.
4. if heater is not turning on then you may have one of three issues.
1. Bad door switch
2. Wire off element or bad thermistat
3. No power going through the control. to the heating circuit.

MAYTAG MDBH945AWS MODEL WANT START. ONLY START LIGHT IS ON.

I just had a similar problem with a GE Triton. Suddenly the lights on control panel went wacky and it wouldn't start. I don't know if this will help you but try disconnecting the power source and wait a bit (this involved turning off the circuit breaker to d/w in circuit box). It cleared up the problem with the control panel and d/w just finished a good cycle. Hope this helps you. It was Step #1 on another site and they said there that this will allow the "computer" to re-set.
Good luck.

GE Triton not working

Jitterbugclu-
I may have the solution. Husband just turned off power to dishwasher via circuit breaker. Waited around 30 minutes.
Restored power and Triton came back with normal lights.
I just ran a cycle and all was well. Hope this helps you.
My fingers are crossed because I don't know what happened but did read on another site that this should be the first thing you try before expen$ive repairman.
Reply back if it works!

Won't get off drain/cancel cycle

It sounds to me like you may have a float switch that is registering water in the unit when you try to start it. If the unit "registers"that there is water in the sump before starting a new cycle, it will try to drain it before starting. The switch is located under the lower acess panel. Sometimes, you can bounce the float (depending on model) inside the unit a couple times and dislodge it. If not, you will have to pull the lower acess panel and check the switch out.

Ge triton xl dishwasher

One answer is NEVER buy another GE product!!! I bought all GE Profile appliances when I redecorated my kitchen. Have had issues with every single piece. Refrigerator has been replaced twice (on 3rd one). Triton XL dishwasher will not reset...good luck getting it back to normal wash if you change a cycle...for example to run just a rinse. It is almost impossible to get it to reset. And don't get me started on the over the stove microwave. Never have been able to use the lights. Every time from day one I turn them on, the bulbs blow and the cover shatters. Absolutely no support from GE!!!

My Kenmore diswasher gets stuck between the quick rinse and drying cycle

I am having the same issue as described above. I think it is either the timer, thermostat (temp assure), or thermostat (temp boost) that needs replacing. The dial gets stucks in both the wash temp boost cycle and rinse temp boost cycle. However, I don't have a picture of the temp assure or boost part. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. -Bill
