You need to go to acura to get the code.the vin # does not have the code as such otherwise people could steal the radio and get it to work.proof of ownership will be required.

Replacing car battery 2005 acura tl radio does not work "CODE" appears on radio

This is the security code for theft radio system; add it; the radio code generaly is in back side of the radio, or in the owners manual (last page). If you dont have anyone, need to call the Acura dealer with the VIN car number (sometimes need to pay for this service).

Hope helped (remember coment and rated this post).

99 acura tl--need radio code

Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

Radio code

Normally it is listed in your vehicle owners manual. If you don't have one your best bet will be at the dealership by giving them your VIN number and they can run it through to retrieve it. Some dealerships will charge you just to pull out your radio code for your vehicle. Honda's normally charge $99 just to retrieve this. hope this helped.

Try going to an Acura dealer with the VIN. They should be able to find it in their computer.
