Question about Lands Phones

1 Answer

Uniden powermax All three phones (batteries died with a half hour). Phones are in their chargers and I didn't get any beeping sound to let me know it had a low battery. Two of the phones that are used the least I can usually switch out for the main phone but they lasted about 5 mins. each.

I've caused my Uniden phones to begin working properly by REBOOTING them... I take the batteries out of each and every phone.... so they are ALL dead at the same time... AND, I unhook the electrical power to the base. I leave everything unhooked and unpowered for a minute or so... then put everything back together.. You might give it a try. It's done wonders for me...

SOURCE: 2 uniden cordless phones aren't working

I don't know if this helps, but perhaps the problem is using two or more phones. On a whim, I charged a Uniden EXP 970 that my daughter gave me a few years ago. Charged right up and it has been working for about two days. I didn't think it would charge at all but to have it actually work, I was amazed!! Will post if it quits anytime soon.

FYI I bought two phones from AT&T, each around $200 and neither of them worked after a week. I was not happy! These less expensive phones seem to do a much better job!

SOURCE: Phone will not hold a charge

Almost certainly you will have to spend $50 or $60 on a new battery. Assuming it has a removable battery, which most cordless phones do. Take the phone to Radio Shack and see if they have the proper replacement battery.

SOURCE: Uniden wireless phone

As with all batteries, Topping them up by keeping them on charge is very bad for the cells, whats best is a good charge and then a good discharge, looks like you need a new battery - Uniden cordless batteries

I have a Uniden D1680 cordelss phone system. Often times when talking for two minutes or so--it disconnects--this happens alot. Any suggestions???

UNIDEN is notorius for this. It could be losing connection to the base - are you moving around while on the phone? or it could be the battery is not holding a sufficient charge. You can move the base unit to see if that helps - maybe something is interfering with the signal. You can try taking the battery out of the phone and putting it back in. If that doesn't work then try swapping the phones and putting them in each others charger. If that doesn't work then try letting the battery die by leaving the phone off the charger for 24 hours and then recharging for 24 hours. Good Luck!

If phone is more than 1 yr. old, battery needs to be replaced, if not reset base by disconnecting power, pressing and holding delete key while reconnecting power.

Uniden Power Max 5 Battery problem

Your phones have the charger built into them and that is what has gone bad. After a while the dealt-V sensing unit dies and the phone overcharges the battery. You will notice your batteries heat up when charged then your delta-V sensing circuit is probably shot.

Personal Note: I think home phone manufacturers are using old non-lipo technology because it has these faults and you will have to get a new phone after some time. Also.... Why aren't home phones half as cool as cell phones??? Hmmmm.... Yeah I want my home phone to get, wifi, contact sync, usb connection, color screen, multi-ring, infinate contact storage, calendar, timer, and all the other bs in a cell phone. At least contact sync through USB, come on. Or even a shared phonebook for all phones right.
