SOURCE: only 1 battery charges

The lights are working, the batteries aren't. Red indicates power to the charger, and it should be on all the time. Green indicates a full charge, usually. If one or both of the batteries are totally dead, then the charger can't "see" them, and you will get a green light, but you will have dead batteries.

All power chairs use sealed, deep-cycle batteries. Deep cycle batteries, are designed for slow amperage dischare over a long time period, unlike a car battery that throws out a lot of amperage for turning the motor over. That's called "cold-cranking amps", and you can load-test a car battery to see if it will throw out a ton of amps for long enough to start a car. There is NO load tester made, or possible for a deep-cycle battery. A load test requires a 24-hour time period, and a complicated formula.

So, your course is to get some fresh, gel-sealed-batteries. You will need type U-1. Specify, gel-sealed-batteries when you go to the battery shop. A fresh set should get the chair up to about 12-16 mile range, which would be about 3-4 hours running constantly at high speed. Good luck.

SOURCE: DOESNT MOVE CHARGED WHEN TURN ON ALL LIGHTS COME

The motors are not getting power. Check to see that the chair is not in freewheel mode. Also check all the wires to be sure that they are connected properly.

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. Seems to die when fully charged. one push with foot and it lurches forward and runs a while then won't go again after stop until manual push and then lurches forward again. is something not connected...

hi ,

so first take off the seat, please be carefull how you do this as they can be heavy,

Now remove the cover , again carefull as there may be some wires connected for the lights so discconect these,

Now look for the break located on the side of the motor ( can be a gold colour), check the wires here, make sure they are a good connection, now check the battery teminals , are they loose check the wiring here, now does the brake click when you move the throttle lever, it may be a really faint click, no click then check the connections leading to the controller, normally a black or blue box.

IT could also be the fact that the batteries are faulty and appear fully charged, again check the charger making sure it is really charging , last of all it could be in fact a controller fault or brake fault

Please rate my help.

Regards,
