Keypads are sensitive to the elements, water, dust and grime. Any of these can cause a problem with the device. Blow out the keypad with canned air if you can. If it still fails, you may have to replace the keypad. If that is Not and Option for you, simply get a Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, attach the transceiver that comes with the mouse set and away you go.
