Spill a small amount of warm water and let it run down to wash out the pickle juice. Of course do this without the power cord connected. Let the tv dry long enough to be sure the water has evaporated before re applying power. Just might work.

You have to disassemble the TV to take this board out, and must clean well. Never use water for cleaning. Use absolute alcohol or medical quality turpentine.

Remove the batteries from the remote then see if the set returns to normal and you can use the buttons on the tv. If after the batteries are out and the set is still acting upreturns back to normal then the remote is bad, I have seen cases where something has been spilled on the remote and no one was told.

We have a similar problem when changing channels/surfing, the TV will begin to power cycle, until you unplug THE CABLE TV input, then it will turn on again and stay on as you rehook the cable and change channels....till it decides to do it again, DTV channels seem to trip it up, but not sure....if I leave it on the same channel it will run for days. Yep and the cable TV is grounded outside

Panasonic-36" Pana Black Tube - channels are continuely changing

I would suggest to let the water dry or you can use a hair dryer to blow air through the buttons, you could also open the back cover to blow air towards the front panel to dry it faster.
The spilled water is acting as a conductor, that is why the channels are changing on their own.

Good Luck.
