I cant find a whole lot of information on that amp or any other older pyramid as they arent exactly the most popular amp but just applying what i know about amplifiers in my opinion i think the amp is more than likely only stable @ 4ohm when it is bridged and @ 2ohm in stereo (using both channels) so yes you should be more than likely able to bridge it because the impulse only came in 4 and 8 ohm voice coils and i dont think they made a dvc impulse so check the sub paperwork . if you dont have the paperwork look at the sub and check for it or get the model number and ill be able to tell you what the ohm rating is on it and remember if u decide to bridge it be carefull not to turn the gain up like it is the volume controll. it should typically be set under half way but you maybe ok going up to 3/4 but i am not sure how it will sound @ that level so if its not loud enough after that you should consider getting a slightly larger amp ( a good rule of thumb that i have found is that the subs rms specification should only be 2/3 of the totall rated rms output at the ohm load that the speakers or speaker are as this should allow u all the spl you want without really heating up your amp and if u ever buy new subwoofers you have more power left in the amps output capabilities because when u buy new subs it is usually to upgade in quality which usually requires more wattage and youll have it

sorry my answer is so long . if u have any problems pls feel free ask me
and again you should be very capable of bridging it just find out the ohm load for the impulses voice coil HOPEFULLY it is an 8 ohn because when bridging an amp it halves the ohm rating on the sub

sorry such a long answer but i just wanted to cover as much as i could in case you have any problems if u have wiring questions or want to see a wiring chart go to for all kinds of excellent information charts wiring wizards and here is the link to the subwoofer wiring wizard

thanks for letting me try to help out and god bless

Is my Pyramid 300 watt mosfet pb 772 compatible with a 10" kicker comp sub?

If the output impedance of your Pyramid amp is approximately the same as the input impedance of your Kicker, it should work.

Hi i have two 10'' jenson xs sub and they are about 6 years old and i was wondering wut amp size i should buy to run them.

I believe these are 4ohms, if so buy a 2ohm stable monoblock amp, that puts out 250-300 watts RMS, and connect your subs to it in parallel, don't pay attention to peak watts, look at RMS watts, or continuous watts. If they're 2 ohms, buy a 2 ohm stable 2 channel amp that puts out 125-150 watts RMS per channel, and 250-300 watts total or bridged RMS output. And connect them normally, on sub per channel... hope this helps, as far as brand recommendations, MTX, pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood... Good luck

Hi,just bought a 6x9 jbl gto937 speakers for my car, each speaker is 100watt rms and 300 max .Can anybody advice on what amplifier should i get for them?I know i can run them without any amp but think they...

Pyramid makes the PB series of amps. I have one that's driving a Sub.
The PB 700 puts out rms 60watts x 2 @ 2ohms, which gives you some "headroom" for your speakers. You don't want to over drive speakers with , for example, a 1000 watts for 100 watt speakers, because that's a good way to blow your speakers.
There are many brands and models of amps that will fit your speakers. Just make sure the amp will drive 2ohm speakers, since your jbl's are rated at 2ohm impedance.
You may want to consider adding a Sub woofer to your setup. A single Sub would fill in the low end very nicely. If you got a 4 channel amp, then two channels will drive your jbl's, and you can bridge the other two channels to drive the Sub. That would be a kick'n sound!
Just make sure the amp is bridgeable
For example, the Pyramid PB 1200 is a 4 channel, bridgeable amp. This particular amp will drive the 2ohm jbl's, but you would want a 4 or 8 ohm Sub connected to the bridged channels.

400 watts delivered to 300 watt speakers the only way to do this would be to wire two subwoofers in series so that the power needed to drive them will be 600 watts to max, however this will increase your impedance on the speaker (8 ohms) load so what you can do to compensate is get an 8 ohm 600 watt resistor and put it in parallel with the speakers you will then have 4 ohms of impedance at a total capacity of 600 watts of power In other words the amplifier won't blow these out now.

    Hi Trim God,

I do not reccommend that you push the Pioneer speakers over 100 watts.  The jenson will already drown the car with bass through your pioneers so much you will want to turn off the bass boost when playing some low bass hip hop songs. It changes from one venue of song to another, so I just keep the jenson bass boost off and use my head unit to adjsut the sound to fit my listening prefences. I am telling you man, you will be blown away .  Hook up the pioneers straight to the Channels,. do not bridge.  I put Subs in my truck though.  I used the Pass output to send the audio to me Jenson 2 Channel 600W amp. I drive one 10 inch enclosed JBL Class A/B Sub. I bridged the output of the 600 W amp to the 10 inch sub  in my Z28.  The pioneers never get drowned out.  I did smoke my 2 channel Amp one time. and also took out a MTD 10inch sub. I am talk shooting flames and smoked the whole car up. I think if you bride the XA4150 to the pioneers, you will have the flaming smoke problem in no time.
