The pathway that the dust follows to reach the bag is most likely clogged. Take the bag off and look inside to see if there's sawdust plugging the orifice. If there is then you could vacuum out the dust or simply start up the sander and let the machine clear itself. If you do the latter just know that you will create a cloud of dust so do it in the proper environment.

Where to purchase Ryobi dust bag for model RESV-1200A

I couldn't find a Ryobi blower model RESV1200 but they do have an RESV1300. A dust bag is available for that model at: http://www.ereplacementparts.com/ryobi-resv1300-41abespg034-handheld-blowervacuum-parts-c-7931_15636_18676.html. Hopefully it is compatable with your blower. If you're unsure call their 800 number, they're really helpful (no I don't work for them).

Hello, the dust is not coming out into the bag

if you have compressed air remove the dust bag and blow thru every port and opening you can find. Make sure to wear safety glasses. Then I would run the tool with the dust port facing away from you, there is a buildup inside not allowing proper flow, you should empty the dust bag when half full for maximum performance.

I have a porter cable belt sander that shoots dust out the front. It has a dust bag but the wood dust doesn't go in the bag. it used to. I have taped up some weak parts of the bag but I am not sure what...

the inside of the tool is full of dust not allowing it to get into the bag. I have had to completely disassemble and clean the track for the dust. You can try blowing thru every port with compressed air and see if that helps.

Bosch 3 x 21 Belt Sander

Remove the dust bag and unplug sander for now. Everywhere you see an access hole (fan area, dust port, back of sander blow thru the tool to remove lodged dust that clogged the system, Also look for broken belt pieces in the back of sander. Then while running (remove belt) blow again thru all the ports to try and reomve as much contamination as possible. When finished you can feel to see if air coming from dust bag port, it not you still have a clog that might need more work. If I have clarified your request would you please rate this response accordingly and thank you.

Belt sander clogged dust collection

What have you been sanding?  Make sure the sander is unplugged. Remove the dust collector bag and use a flexible wire, like a coat hanger, to free the clogged material from the dust tube.  Replace bag and sand away!  Hope this solution works for you.  Michael Mittelsdorf

Dust collector

dust collectors usually work off the motor via a fan. Either the fan is broken or the bag is blocked up.If the bag is too dirty inside you don't get any airflow through the bag which can stop it collecting. A good wash should do the trick
