Question about Dell Inspiron 2200 Notebook
How do i connect my laptop to my tv without using hdmi?i have an asus laptop with hdmi output and it also has an output for a monitor. As my tv doesn't support hmdi but does support s-video, component and composite, i decided to purchase a vga to svideo/composite cord. I have plugged this into my monitor out put and tried connecting it to both s-video and composite inputs on my tv but neither works. My laptop does not even recognise that it is attached to the tv.
Does this mean my laptop doesn't have the correct video card for vga output? Or does it mean my vga to s-video converter is faulty? Or is there something else wrong.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense (not real great with computers) :p Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
*I have succesfully connected it a desktop pc monitor though.*
Use s-video cable a little round plug most newer tvs have s-video imput that is standard resulution
