SOURCE: My speaker that controls volume

Probably not but if you could try checking e-bay or the offical website of your product. I don't know because you didn't mention the brand. Check freecycle.org to try and get a used one free that someone else near you may not want. It is a stretch and is not likely but maybe...

SOURCE: x230 logitech not working.

i did the same to mine,

just replace the power transformer with one that accepts 110-240 volts

easy to do, but check cost might be better to buy a new set depends on your situation

External mic for ft 50 yaesu purchase

Yaesu offers the MH-34B4B Speaker Mic or the MH-37A4B Earphone Mic for the FT50 HT.

Speaker Mic (Heavy / Standard Duty)

Earphone Mic (Light Duty)

Any ham radio store should be able to obtain these - if they are still in production / stock by Yaesu. Ham Radio Outlet aka "HRO" has stores nationwide and can ship direct.

I hope this helps!

Control Pod for Companion 5 volume control non-functional

I had exact same problem today. I moved my speakers from one room to the next. When I plugged everything back, the mute/unmute worked but the volume control no longer worked.

I got it working now!! I powered down my computer and then unplugged the power to the speaker system. Then plugged in the power to the speaker system again. Powered on computer and all is good again!!

Hope this helps/

Altec Lansing ada745

Oh, my goodness.  I have the exact same problem, and it just happened to me today as well, same model.  The fifth prong got bent in while I was trying to plug it back in after diagnosing a different issue (speaker volume would randomly jump up and down regardless of audio source).
It looks like a PS/2 style connector with one of the top pins missing, so I thought about taking an old PS/2 plug and grafting it on after breaking off one of those pins, but the center plastic block on the PS/2 connector is unfortunately keyed differently than the speaker plug (it's lower down on the PS/2 plug).
