Question about HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Won't Turn On

All of the sudden our printer is connecting to the power source.  Our outlets are not faulty.  We have tried reconnecting the cables, using alternate outlets, etc. and still nothing.  We've only had this printer for a year and were totally satisfied until this.  Any ideas?

Hi
I understand that your printer won't turn on tough connected to power outlet.
I recommend you to go through the following link and follow the instructions as mentioned and also make sure the printer is connected directly to the wall jack.

HP printer won't print

Hi Kathy,

What is the printer model ? Try the step below.

While the printer has power, Disconnect the power cable from back of the printer. Wait for 10 seconds and reconnect. This should fix the issue.

If this does not, try changing the wall socket. If you have connected it to Surge protector, Try connecting to Wall outlet directly.

Hope this will fix the issue.

Regards,
Sean

No power

If it is not getting any power at all, only one of three things: cord is fried/dead; could be the outlet, try something else in the same socket; or, the board in the printer is dead.
1. Press the POWER button to power on the printer The device has a <POWER> button.
Connect the power cord from the printer to the electrical source.
Press the <POWER> button.
Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting a print request or completing installation.

2. Disconnect and Reconnect AC power adapter or power cord to the device and electrical source
  • Disconnect the AC Power Adapter or power cord from both the device and the electrical source.
  • Then reconnect it.
  • If you are still unable to obtain power to the device, try another power outlet.
  • If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet (as opposed to using a surge protector or power strip...just as a troubleshooting measure).
3. Disconnect and reconnect the electrical cord to ensure a secure connection 4. The iP6000D may require repair

Lexmark X5270 power butoon keeps blinking and no power

Try to remove the power adapter from the printer. Then unplug the power cord from the power outlet in the wall.printmastert_62.jpg
Wait at least 10 seconds before re-plugging the printer into the power source (bypass any surge devices or power strips). Reconnect the power adapter into the printer. If printer won't automatically turn on, press the power button. If that doesn't help, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for further assistance.

Printer will not turn on ,power button just blinks when you press it down.

Unplug the printer power cable from the electrical outlet. Reconnect the printer power cable into the electrical outlet, and turn on the printer.
If it does not work, contact Dell support. You probably have a faulty power source.

Solutions

1. Check the power cord or power module connections at both the printer and the power source (power outlet, power strip or surge protector).

2. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord or power module to the printer.

3. Try reconnecting the power cord or power module to the power source or try a different power source.

4. Verify that the printer is connected to a power outlet that works.

5. Make sure there are no additional switches turned off, such as those on a power strip or surge protector.

Printer doesn't turn's on

Per Canon:

Solution: Disconnect and Reconnect AC power adapter or power cord to the device and electrical source

Secure all Power Connections
  • Disconnect the AC Power Adapter or power cord from both the device and the electrical source.
  • Then reconnect it.
  • If you are still unable to obtain power to the device, try another power outlet.
  • If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet (as opposed to using a surge protector or power strip...just as a troubleshooting measure).
If this does not work, have you tried a different outlet to ensure that the outlet isn't the issue? Also, when you press the POWER button, does the printer respond at all, or is it basically dead?

Please post back if you need further help, otherwise, thank you for using and rating FixYa!
