Question about Freezers
Our side-by-side freezer door was left slightly open for about 7 to 8 hours. The meat was still frozen solid, but the ice cream at the front was melted.
Will this damage the fridge?
Also, we have frequent power surges in our area. It's not uncommon for the power to turn off and on 9 or 10 times before finally going off during a storm. How do we prevent damage to our appliances? Our electric company offers a surge protection package for $10 per month + a $100 install charge. Is this worth it?
Thank you so much!
Your fridge should be fine, if you have surges that frequently getting a whole house surge protection package would make alot of sense. Surges are especially damaging to electronic circuits found in TV's computers, cell phones, answering machines aell frankly in just about everything. Well worth the charge.
