Question about Washing Machines
I replaced the washer heating element after it shorted and blew the plug fuse. The washer runs ok up until draining and then clicks and the five lights across the panel start to flash orange and the door lock releases although the lock light remains lit along with the green end light. I have stripped down the drain pump which is all clear of any obstructions and the winding has a reading of 224 ohms. Any ideas......Cheers

SOURCE: All lights flashing!
I resolved the issue. The drain plug was clogged. To repair this first unplug the power from the machine. Then remove three screws holding the lower front panel on. Grab a bucket and put it under the "plug" on your right. Hold your nose as this part may smell. Slowly unscrew the drain plug and allow all contents to empty into the bucket. Now you know why the machine refused to work properly! Clean the drain plug and secure it tightly back in place. Put the panel back on. Plug in the power. And this should resolve your issue. Now go tell the wife how hard you had to work to fix her washing machine, duck, and do a load or two to help her out! Happy Washing!

Possible that the inlet valve is not working or the ccontrol unit is faulty.
Please switch off and when switched on check for the voltage to the inlet valve, if water flows, if not the control panel is faulty.
If voltage is present and valve does not work then the valve is faulty.
Also check the DOOR switch( a safety switch) because if the switch is not working the control panel will not allow the control panel to proceed to switch on motor.
Also check and tighten all the connectors to the control panel.
