Question about Apple iPhone 5S
My iphone 5s doesn't power up. the screen stays black no matter what I try. I've plugged it in to various outlets using multiple chargers, and it does no good. I've held down the home and sleep buttons for minutes at a time, and it doesn't help either. what do I do???

SOURCE: Iphone Screen Staying Black
Hey I have an iphone and work for AT&T All you need to do is press the top botton and the little round botton and hold fot 20seconds until the little apple shows up. Then do it again. You are just doing a reset. Also are you keeping the updates downloaded from itunes. These little updates are crucial for your iphone.

SOURCE: my iphone doesn't turn on!
For some reason I can't imagine you completely bricked your iPhone just by attempting the downgrade, but if you really can't revive it by trying the hard reset there seems to be a hardware issue with your board. There are iphone repair guides that show you how to replace it and parts are available on ebay.

Try each of the following resets:
Download the latest iTunes to your computer and reset the iPhone. Then re-sync it.
To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.
Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

May be the flex cable that connects the home button to the motherboard is damaged. This part is cheap and easy to install.
