Dryer makes noise while rotating

Everytime I start the dryer it makes a noise as it rotates. It seems to be in the beginning. Maybe it is a belt or something that needs replaced.

under the lint screen on the top of the dryer there are 2 screws. remove these screws. aong the edge where the front of the top of the dryer meet the top of the front of the dryer there are 2 clips. press in the clips with a putty knife to raise the top. look inside you will see 2 screws that go into the front of the dryer. remove thoughs screws and the front will lean forward and lift off. there you will be able to put belt around the drum, tension pulley and motor pulley

Dryer makes a buzzing noise when I turn it on but it doesn't come on, just buzzes.

Open the dryer door and slowly rotate the dryer drum in a counterclockwise (CCW) direction. Rotate the drum 2-3 revolutions and then shut the door and see if it will start. If it continues to just hum and not start could indicate a voltage issue, motor issue or a friction issue. Open the door again and locate the door switch plunger in the upper or lower corner on the hinge side of the drum opening. Hold the plunger in while someone begins rotating the drum counterclockwise. While turning the drum counter clockwise and holding the door switch plunger inwards press the start button. If it starts, there is likely a friction problem or motor problem.
What is the model number?

Dryer is frozen wont rotate when i hit the start button just makes noise then shuts off

The first thing I would do is try to rotate the drum by hand, there should be a little resistance at first, but once it begins to rotate it will rotate more easily. If it spins with no resistance it could be a broken belt or belt has slipped off. The noise I think your hearing is the electric motor trying to start up and may be locked up, and then tripping its thermal protection and shutting it down. These motors are durable but won't last forever, and are exposed to a lot of dirt and lint and can get packed in and around the motor affecting its operation. It doesn't sound like an easy fix to me other than a motor replacement. Hope this helps good luck.

Hi, Thee dryer makes a loud noise during cycle. It starts low, but it seems after each rotation it get louder. Has anyone ever experienced this and are there any solutions. Thanks for any assistance.

Describe the noise. If its a rattling banging noise you could have a broken exhaust fan which is usually attached to the motor, a broken cylinder roller (if your dryer has them) or worn felts. Maybe a noisy pulley. If its more a high pitched squeek it could be your motor or the parts just mentioned. A metal scraping noise could be something like a bra wire caught by the cylinder but I don't see how that can get louder as the rotates. Make sure the belt isn't cracked all over. Worst case scenario is that your motor is on its way out...
Good luck

Dryer rotates and drys well, but makes a noise when reversing rotation. Makes more noise at the beginning of use, then subsides. What could be wrong? Belt, bearings? Can I fix or do I need an expert?

My dryer has power but the drum will not turn

Belt, Motor, motor start capacitor or Door switch. you going to have to open the back cover off and see what is taking place. check belt making sure good and tight, idler pulley may be worn also. If motor only making a hums sound when you press start it may be burnt out. you can check if the motor is good or bad by removing the belt and manually rotate the shaft motor pulley, if the motor is stiff and impossible to rotate manually, it also a sign the motor burnt out. if the motor turn and run freely without the belt, the problems maybe with the pulley or the drum, try to rotate the drum and making sure it rotate freely using very little effort. if door switch faulty, the unit will not work.

Maytag dryer won't rotate after blower wheel replacement

Check the drive belt and belt tensioner. From the way you describe it, the belt is loose and with a load in the drum, it will not rotate due to belt slipping.
