not much to go on........... start by verifying unit plugged in, outlet active, PSU switch (if any) is on. next, look for a green LED on PSU. If it is not solid on replace PSU. If it is not on, replace PSU HP Bestech PSUs r hotoriously bad.
Hi, Please remove the battery for few hrs and charge them after that replace the battery and try to power on if the problem persist then take to any service center the firmware needs to be updated or there is some short in the circuit board of the cam.
It sounds a lot like bad or defective batteries.
If the discharge curve is too rapid, you get no warning from the camera.
Have you tried taking pictures or zooming when the screen is blank?
If you can't do that, you most likely have battery problems.
I did lose the LCD on a related camera and once checking the replacement part cost - I retired it and bought another.
The price was $90 US and there is no assurance that the panel itself is the problem.
Defective ccd imager!! company will replace this ccd imager free of charge. Year 2002 up to 2005 released unit has a factory defect ccd imager. the company recalled those units and replaced with a stronger version of ccd imager ( they are still doing it). check it out.
