SOURCE: Frigidaire Dishw. Error code CL
this just happened to ours and it turned out to be the gasket that seals the door.
when you see the CL error and the door is indeed shut, pull gently back on the door. if you hear a click and the unit starts running again, it may be the gasket.
ours lost it's ability to keep the seal, allowing enough 'play' in the locking mechanism for it to think the door was not closed.

I believe the CL you are getting means "Child Lock". Under normal circumstances there should be no activity at all on your machine.
Please do the following:
- On the Facial Panel (Where the buttons are located), look for 2 buttons marked together with a line, it should also have a face of a child somewhere on that line.
- Press both these buttons together for 3 - 5 seconds, this should reset the Child Lock.
Kind Regards :-)

you need a new door switch. this was a very common problem with these machines when they first came out. The dishwasher may be closed but one of the switches is staying open so the computer things the door is open.

Hello linda_ross88 - Typically CL indicates that the main control board is not sensing that the door is properly closing. One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about 30 seconds. If the error code persists, typically an expert would need to check the door switches, wiring, and test the main control board. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend seeking a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.
