Turn off the phone and pull the battery out. Put a small amount of alcohol on a cotton swab and gently try to clean the sim connectors. Put again your sim card e turn on your phone. After that, if the phone doesn't recognize the card, try with another simcard if possible.

3. remove your battery , sim and memory card
4. reinsert battery and switch on
5. on your keypad type the code *2767*3855#

try to remove your battery and sim and memory card and switch on and check. if it proceeds to initial menu page, open your keypad menu and do a hard reset, type this code *2767*3855# and check. please be aware that you will lose all your settings once a factory reset has successfully took place. if you switch on the phone without the sim and memory card, and still, the issues has not been resolve. go to your nearest samsung service center, it may be needing a firmware reflash. you would want to check your battery also, borrow same fully charged battery from a friend and check..
Try powercycling phone; turning it off and removing battery from the back and leaving it off for about 1-2 mins. Then re-start phone. if the same thing happens, try doing a master reset on the phone instead. However, if it's still doing the same thing... might as well have it checked to verify if the phone needed to be repaired.
