I bought a Gogear 4gb, battery was good only for 2 hours
I conected the smal spare plug to the computer & my mp3, leaved it for the whole night charging, how ever i haven't being able to turn it on again, it didn't work out, what would be wrong? is new , i charged and it's still not working, i tryied in another computer and same think, i holded on the slide to turn it and no way no light, signal, nothing , what would be wrong? would any body help me pls? I have had a GoGear for a while and those things have horrible firmware and are very fragile. I have experienced the same issue myself, so I suggest leaving it plugged in for several hours no matter what the screen says to try and let it charge. It should charge up. If not, try charging via a usb wall charger, which should allow usage of the player while it charges.
The battery life is rated at 25 hours for audio and 4 hours for video. If the charge is not holding you can try ensuring device is secured while charging. If this does not work the battery is bad and should be replaced. This is not horrible news, batteries for the GoGear Vibe 4GB are only $10.00.
well if your Philips MP3 GoGear freezes up. find somthing small enough to fit in the reset hole and push it in until it shuts down.if ur light shuts off but is still froze on the same screen hold the power button and it wiil power down all the way.l then turn your gogear on and it will be ready to go TRUST ME I JUST DID IT...HAHAHA
Try repairing the device: 1) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips) - if you don't see it, then re-run the installation CD or grab the "Device/Firmware Manager" from the Philips website 2) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button 3) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off (if you haven't done so already) - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new.
You may have to charge the device fully for 3 or 4 hours AFTER this process is complete.
