Connect the power cord, rise the cover that accesses to the print-carriage, turn On the printer; when the print-carriage move to left, unplug the power cord then, manually, move the carriage until the right area where you can open the cartridges-cover and change the cartridge you need.
Press the Setup Mode button to enter the Setup Mode and press the A button repeatedly until 5.Ink cartridge appears on the LCD panel, and then press the Color button.
The ink cartridges will move to the replacement position. Open the scanner unit. Squeeze the cartridge end tabs and lift out of printer. Press new cartridge into carriage until it clicks into place, close the cover until it clicks closed. Close the scanner unit.
I found that the proper way to do it only worked when the ink light was flashing red. Then when I pressed the stop button it moved across and stopped beneath the marker to show which cartridge needed changing. The I pressed the stop button again and it moved to a place where I could change it.
This happened despite the fact that the pictures I was printing blatently showed that I needed to replace my ink, it wasn't until I had printed the liney pictures a few times that the printer decided the ink level was low enough to turn the flashing light on and let me change it.
The steps below to replace an ink cartridge: Caution: Leave the empty cartridge installed until you have obtained a replacement, or the ink remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out.To ensure good results, use genuine Epson ink cartridges and do not refill them. Other products may cause damage to your CX6600 not covered by Epson’s warranty.1.If an ink cartridge is empty:Look at the LCD screen to see which cartridge is empty, then press the x Colorbutton.If an ink cartridge is low:Press the Setup button to enter Setup Mode, then press the green button next to the LCD screen until Replace Ink is displayed. Then press the xColorbutton.2.Lift up the scanner3.Wait for the ink cartridge holder to move over, then open its cover. 4.Identify the cartridge you need to replace. Press in the tab at the back of the cartridge, then lift it straight out. Dispose of it carefully. 5.Before unwrapping the new cartridge, shake it gently four or five times. Then remove it from its wrapper. 6.Insert the new cartridge into the holder. Press down firmly until it clicks into place. 7. Close the ink cartridge cover. 8. Lower the scanner. The CX6600 begins charging the ink delivery system and “Charging . . .” appears on the LCD screen. Wait for charging to finish before using your CX6600. Caution: Never turn off the printer while “Charging . . .” appears on the LCD screen, unless the CX6600 hasn’t moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes.

Before taking out a new ink cartridge from its package, shake it four to five times.
Are you sure you have the proper ink replacement cartridge.The following Epson ink cartridges should be used in your device:
* Black: T0431 (high capacity cartridge)
or T0441 (standard capacity cartridge)
* Cyan: T0442
* Magenta: T0443
* Yellow: T0444
How did you discover the ink was low? Did the machine prompt you or was the printer not printing properly? The other colors should blend together to give you atleast some form of black. If the printer alerted you to change the cartridge...Go back through the procedure to install a new cartrige.
Follow the steps below to replace ink cartridges.
Make sure the CX6600 is on.
When the ink is empty:
Refer to the LCD panel message to see which ink cartridge is empty, then press the Color button.
When the ink is low:
Press the Setup Mode button to enter the Setup Mode and press the A button repeatedly until 5.Ink cartridge appears on the LCD panel, then press the Color button.
The ink cartridges move to the replacement position.
Make sure that the document cover is closed, then open the scanner unit.
Open the cartridge cover.
Pinch the sides of the ink cartridge that you want to replace. Lift the cartridge out of the CX6600. reinstall the same cartridge. (Try shaking it a few times again)
If none of the above works uninstall the printer. Download the newest drivers from epson and the should straighten it out.
