There is also some not too expensive Apps that work.
I am having a hard time figuring out if there is a mechanical reset or not. I need to know more about the unit you have as IRULU has five different models of the 9" and most models come in 5 different varieties.
If there is a mechanical reset, sometimes it is volume push up and power, sometimes it is power/home button as the back/select button.
Below are some links you may find helpful also. I can help more if I know more about your tablet.
Look in your tablet instruction book for a procedure called 'hard reset' or a location for a small hole on the edge or back of the tablet where you can push in something non-conductive, like a toothpick to press a hidden reset switch. Without having a make and model for your tablet, it is hard to determine what exactly to do because each make and model is different. You talk about pressing the power and low volume buttons- are you holding them both in simultaneously for 10 seconds? This might be the reset procedure for your tablet, but that is not clear. One last thing to try is to hold in the power button for 10 seconds and see if you get a power off screen. If you get this, try powering off the tablet and then restarting. Also make sure the keyboard isn't on caps lock when you type your password.
Not possible to recover your password just factory reset back to when new! Press power for 30 seconds then press power and volume+ buttons together until reset screen comes on then move to factory reset option using volume buttons and select using power button!
From the Zeki website it says do this.
If you have set the screen lock to a password or pin code, and have forgotten the code; you will need to reset you tablet to factory default setting.
Make sure your tablet has a full charge
Press and hold the Volume - button and tap the Reset button
(The reset button is located between the HDMI and USB ports)
Continue holding the Volume - button until the boot screen appears
Release the Volume - button
Use the volume controls to navigate to "Wipe data/Factory reset"
Press the power button to select
Navigate to "Delete all user date"
Press the power button to select
Your table will take several minutes to reboot to a factory default setting.
