i have taken the wire out. the motor will not turn. i have checked the ciruit breaker and its good 120 volts on both sides. when i pull the trigger you here the relay for the gas sol and it works but no power to the motor. i put other power to the motor and it will run so i know the motor is good. i ohmed out the wire speed dial and it changes so i think its ok no spec on it. how can i test the board or where can i get a new one. thanks chris

sorry chris but it looks like you will have contact your local lincoln dealer for help. If they can't help or will not try too help you e-mail me at bibraun@msn.com and give me all the specs (and problems) that you can and I will talk to my local dealer and see if we can help you. (I can be a bit of a bastard in needing to know how to fix a problem and going after the right people).
    I'll try my best Chris

chris, have you checked to see if the wire is freely able to move? it may be that the wire has shorted out at the tip of the nozzle or just inside of the nozzle tip and fused to it.

If the power to the unit/fan is on and the relay clicks the fuse is not the problem. Check your motor connections. Either you have a bad motor/wiring to motor or motor speed control board.

Where Is the Heater fan relay on a 2001 lincoln twin car.

There is no relay for the heater fan. It has a blower motor speed controller located at the right rear of the engine compartment .It has a five wire connector plugged into it. # 4 wire is Orange with a red stripe ,this is a power supply from fuse # 2 in central junction box through the blower motor.

Why isnt my blower fan working on my 2002 lincoln town car?

if the fuse is good then I would check for a bad blower motor first then the blower resistor. to check the blower motor with it turned on tap the blower motor, if it starts then replace the motor. another way of testing is to unplug the feed wire at the motor and run a feed(hot)wire to the motor terminal, if it doesn`t work again the motor is bad. if it does work then check for power going to and coming out the resistor if no power on any speed it could be the resistor this is a common problem with all cars. also check for a ground problem.

Coiling fan radiator

Having a problem with the electric fan? Here's what to check: first make sure fan is free-wheeling. Spin it by hand. If no obstructions, use jumper leads off the battery to test fan motor. If nothing, motor is bad. If fan operates off the battery, find the radiator fan relay under the hood, and pull it out. One relay terminal will have a hot at all times power source, probably from a fuse link or a maxi-fuse in the fuse/relay box. Check that one terminal is hot at all times, using a voltmeter or test light. If you have air conditioning, turn the AC on, key on. Now, two terminals at relay should show power-the power feed source, and the signal from computer to turn the relay on.
Didn't say what kind of car or year you have, but here is how an older Nissan turns the fan on, without using the computer, and with no AC: the relay signal to shoot power to the fan comes from a thermal switch mounted in the radiator. When coolant reaches 194 degrees F., the thermal switch will close contacts internally, passing power to the relay's coil side of relay. Relay is energized and passes power to the fan motor.
For your car, you will have to check a wiring diagram to see how the cooling fan circuit is set up. The fan relay may be triggered by the computer or by a coolant sensor somewhere in the coolant system.

When i turn on the ac no air blows throw

Go to the fuse block and check 15A fuse D which feeds power to the blower motor. Then check 10A fuse K which feeds power to the blower relay and the fan (blower) speed select relays. If the fuses check OK, the blower relay, the fan switch or the speed control relays may be defective. also, the fan speed resistor may be defective

2000 grand am gt over heating radiator fans not turning on

Overall Cooling fan operation is managed by the powertrain control module (PCM). Three relays control fan motor operation. In the underhood junction block, the 30A COOL FAN 1 fuse feeds power to (left) fan control relay 1; 15A COOL FAN 2 fuse feeds power to (right) fan control relay 2. The mode control relay determines whether the left fan, the right fan or both fans are turned on. If the two fuses are OK, the problem is a defective fan relay(s) or the PCM

Lincoln 3200hd. welder, when power switch turns on, the fan comes on, but when i pull the trigger on gun to start to weld nothing happens the wire does not feed. i am not sure what is happening

open the area were the role of wire is and check when trigger pulled if any action to feed motor. [wire might be stuck at end, or there usually is a small fuse in that area for feed motor]

I hear a click, but the motor that feeds the wire isnt turning!

The CLICK is the motor relay closing.
It has either failed in its contacts set, where it switches motor current ON OR
the motor itself has failed.
OR
the Motor overload has been overloaded and needs re-setting

Wire doesn't feed

Either the trigger mechanism in the gun is bad, the servo that turns the feed wheel is bad, or you have too much tension on the adjustable tensioner knob. Take the wire out of the feed wheel, plug unit in and see if you can get the wheel to turn. If not, it is the trigger or the servo. If it turns, the tensioner was too tight.
