I think that there is. See part # 55 in this parts diagram for your model (the ST7000). Most parts for the entire trimmer are available here as well.

Why does my gh 1000 endlessly spit out line??

You need to make sure the line is on fairly tight and that the bump and go system is not engaged as this will spill the line out. It also need to be wound on anti clockwise.

;How do you lengthen the string? (Have the grass

To lengthen the string:

- Turn the Grass Hog upside down
- Push in on the two release buttons on either side of the spool (they're orange)
- Pull the spool head off and spin it to release more string while you pull the string with your hand (make sure it is still fed out through the hole in the base)
- Pop the spool head back into place

Test the Grass Hog to make sure the string is not too long. If it is you'll hear it cracking against the plastic guard on the base.

My grass hog xp starts but the spool won't spin

This unit is supposedly the same as the GH700 drive system. There is a 5:1 plastic reduction gear inside the housing driven by a steel gear from the motor. It easily strips, melts, or simply breaks. The part is difficult to find. I have not found one yet for my situation.

My Grass Hog won't start properly. All it does is make a hissing sound and NOT trim like it should. What should i do to get it working properly?

Having sound usually means grass is bound inside, or a stripped plastic gear. No sound is thermal link expired.
