Question about HP Officejet 7210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP 7210 All In One Printer; printer speed

My HP officejet 7210 prints entirely too slow. It doesn't matter if it's color or b&w.

I recently updated all of my drivers. This is the only thing I can think of that may be causing the problem.

This is not an epson printer. It's an HPofficejet 7210.

Does this happen when you are printing PDF documents or any documents? word files? pictures?

did the problem start recently and do you remember what lead to it?

    First open printers and faxes

    1. click start

    2. select printers and faxes, if you don't see it
there, then click on control panel

    3. on control panel, on the left side click on
classic view. you can skip this step if you already see all the icons

    4. open printers and faxes or just printers

    5. right click on your printer and select delete

    6. repeat the step 5 if you have the printer more
      than ones.
Uninstall the current drivers and software

    1. click start

    2. click control panel

    3. double click add or remove programs

    4. find epson drivers and other epson products and
      click on uninstall

    5. close the add or remove programs when you have
removed all the epson related software.

    unplug the
    printer from your computer.

    restart the
computer, and use the cd that came with the printer or download the drivers and
software from the makers website or if you already have them then use them - preferably the cd or older drivers if you didn't have the problem with them.

Plug in the printer when asked or when drivers and software is installed, You
may need to restart the computer.

    The
printer should print normally from the computer again.

OH, Yes I know. Don't worry I have those instructions written on my computer and I didn't check if it said HP or EPSON, the steps are the same whatever brand of printer you have.

instead of epson, look for HP

Hi

Black is not True black. It is slightly brown.

Printing in black uses mainly black but may also a tiny amount of a mixture of some of the other colours.

To minimize the usage of other colours:

HP Solution Center > Settings > Print Settings > Printer Settings > Color > tick Black Print Cartridge Only > OK.

HP ink can be expensive. It is possible to economize on HP inks in some cartridge formats by using Ink refill kits.

I hope this helps.

From the HP Toolbox on your PC you can run a cleaning page. If that doesn't fix it, or if you are using refilled ink cartridges, it may be time for a new black ink cartridge.

I've tried reinstalling the software/drivers and resetting the printer to factory settings but no joy. An upgrade either windows or HP must have caused this!

I would suggest you get a set of original HP cartridges .. I have clients trying to save $ all the time by buying refilled and/or refilling themselves to only go and get HP brand. Refills just don't cut it .. leaks, poor print quality, unrecognized cartridges .. there are so many things that I can point out .. save yourself the hassles .. get HP

Could it be that you have the quality set to Best, either at the printer or through the application you are trying to print with? If so, on the printer, you can select Normal and in the application, select Properties on the Print window and find the Normal setting.
