I recently purchased a Lenovo All in One wireless computer. I've plugged in the USB cable as per instructions but my X4650 printer will still not print.

Have you installed the printer drivers? Is the printer power turned on before plugging the USB cable into the computer? You could have a bad cable. Try a different cable.

If you the printout, check the SSID and other network information. If printer still belongs to your network, then it could be a firewall issue. After the power went out and came back up the wireless printer is orange and i reinstalled all the drivers on all the laptops, but it wont communicate with the printer lexmark x4650

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Frequently, issues are caused simply by a break in the signal sent from PC to printer or vice versa. Unplugging and re-plugging the printer allows the small amount of on-board memory on the printer to be cleared, with the result that the PC recognizes the machine properly. Programs continuing to run in the background of the operating system (OS) can cause the signal to be lost. Rebooting the PC ends all programs that may be running and makes a 'clean' start, allowing the signal to be detected.
If connection is still not established, try to print the network settings page to determine if your printer is still registered in your wireless network. 1. Press Setup (pattlnk_632008_2048-x4650stup.jpg) on the printer operator panel. 2. Press the right or left arrow button until Network Setup is displayed, and then press(pattlnk_632008_2052-x4650ok.jpg). 3. Press pattlnk_632008_2052-x4650ok.jpg at Print Setup Page. 4. Press pattlnk_632008_2052-x4650ok.jpg when prompted to Load Paper. 5. Press pattlnk_632008_2052-x4650ok.jpg. The network settings page will now print.
Check the SSID and the IP address on the settings page. If info shows that your printer is no longer registered, you may need to reset the wireless network settings of the printer.
Follow steps 1 & 2 above, 3. Press the right or left arrow button until Reset Network Adapter Defaults is displayed, and then press pattlnk_632008_2052-x4650ok.jpg. 4. Press the right or left arrow button to display Yes, and then press pattlnk_632008_2052-x4650ok.jpg. 5. Observe the message"Clearing Wireless Settings". The WiFi light will momentarily turn off then lights up solid orange. You can now launch Wireless Configuration Utility or Wireless Setup Assistant (Macintosh) to reconfigure your printer to connect to your network.

I have a green Wi-Fi indication of the from of the printer, but it won't print. it says... Lexmark 3600-4600 series 3A82A0_P1

Try to unplug then replug the printer into the power source to reset it. This usually fixes minor communication issues. If problem continues, try to print the wireless network settings to check if your printer is still connected to the same network as your computer(s). Follow the steps in this article: How to Print the Network Settings Page on X4600 Series All-In-Ones (AIOs). If not in the same network, you may need to reset the printer. When you installed your printer, you had to install the software on your PC. So go to your PC's start menu, go to Programs, select Lexmark software, select Tools and then select Wifi Configuration Utility. It will open a window which will give you step by step instruction on re-configuring your wifi settings. When you are doing this, make sure your printer is connected to your PC via the USB cable.

Hardware installation

Hello,

I did a web search and ended on a forum where everyone was complaining that they could not get drivers.

But one person (user name Arthur) said that the problem is solved by printing from a virtual machine that runs on top of Linux (for instance Virtual Box). Arthur claims that the printer worked through USB as well as WIFI. Sounds Neat.

You might try that solution.

Hope it helps.

No wireless printer port for lexmark x4650

Your firewall for the wireless is blocking the port. Go into your firewall settings and add the port from the printer to bypass the router. What operating system do you have? It should be in Control Panel under Security Center.
Let me know.
