Launcher is Missing is it a luncher app you downloaded from the playstore or is it the default launcher of your phone because if its just an app that you downloaded from the playstore its missing because a factory reset will erase all your data and apps
If its the dufault launcher is your phone rooted? Did you perhaps uninstall the default launcher using a root tool like link to SD?
If you have uninstalled your default launcher then you would have to flash a stock rom from your phone's manufacturer or download a custom rom from the internet
You can use alternates to the Home app that defaults on Nooks.
The Home app and the alternatives are all what are called Launchers. You can make your Nook look and feel just like any other tablet you have ever seen. I\'ve personally been using one for years called ADW.Launcher on both my Nooks and just love it. The Nooks default default Home launcher is just a bloody pain to setup.
You can still use both launchers side by side. After running ADW.Launcher for a while you will just ask how you ever got around without it and never want to see Home again.
I am assuming you want to know how to install a new home launcher on an Android device (phone/tablet). There are many good ones that can make your old phone or tablet seem like a totally new experience if you're bored with the same old one. Most offer free versions and have, for usually a few dollars, a paid version. They often refer to these as Pro, Donate, Plus, or other names. Just search the Google play store (or any other app store you have access to) with the device and install it. Do a search on the android app store of your choice (Google Play, AppBrain, Amazon App Store, etc) and install the one you want.
After the installation is complete you will be prompted for an action upon pressing the Home key on your device. You will have to choose to always use the option you choose or just this once. Depending on your version of Android you will have a little checkbox or two buttons labled "Always" and "Just This Once." After that just set up your new home launcher how you like.
If you want to get back to your old one without uninstalling the new one then go to the Settings menu (for the device, not for the launcher). Open the "Application Settings" and find the launcher. Click/touch on it and find a button labled "Clear Defaults" and press it. Finally just press the Home key and you'll be promted to choose the launcher you wish to use.
