Hi Par37ron,
Select Start>Run (in Windows) and type in the following:
dvdupgrd /detect
This will tell you what DVD decoders are installed on your system. MCE2005
needs a newer decoder than other versions of MCE - try:
http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/WinDVD_Download.jsp
http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html
If it costs money then you have to buy it. There is pirated software you could get for that, but that is illegal and I cannot discuss that here.
