SOURCE: Help me please! I need replace

SONY TRANSISTOR TO-3 NPN 140V 12A 100W

Almost anything will go in there.

TV Flyback transistors are usually BU208 or BU208D if a diode is used. They are Very high Vceo
not as you describe a 2SD3402

What is the cause

This is a common fault that everybody feels, when replacing the horizontal output transistor for Samsung CRT TVs. Samsung has provided no heat sink to this transistor, and generally, it wont't heat up abnormally. You should use the exact number of this transistor when replacing it. We can't get it from open market. Only authorized service center for Samsung can supply us its exact replacement. No more experiments should be done further, with any other number horizontal transistor. All of it work for a while, and will get shorted.

Can u repair a cracked screen

LCD screen is nothing but TFT screen (Thin Film Transistors). It is array of transistors. Cracked screen cannot be repaired even a small crack. It can be replaced only provided if available in the market. Mostly it is available with the manufacturer.

B1560 is not available in the market.

Don't know this particular transistor but most of the B#### transistors were manufactured by Bendix Corporations Semiconductor Division at South Street, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. I think most if not all were Germanium PNP high power transistors in TO3 cases. It's just possible that some surplus dealer or electronics buff around Holmdel may have one in the junk box. If not look for a replacement with capability of handling the specified channel power output at the supply rail voltage. Gain is probably not too critical.

My monitor is not turning on, when i push power button, no light.

Your technician is talking about the horizontal output transistor near the flyback transformer. These things get hot during operation so they are mounted on a heatsink. If you really want to try to repair the monitor, you can take the back off the monitor and read the part number right off the transistor. There are many sources for transistors, although not all parts are easy to find.

I wouldn't recommend trying this repair. First, it's not a simple matter of unplugging a part and putting in the new one. They are soldered in so you'll need some some experience with desoldering and resoldering. Also, while horizontal output transistors do sometimes just fail, they usually go bad because other parts fail first. If you don't have some experience with troubleshooting this kind of equipment, you may be wasting time and money trying to fix this yourself. There are also dangerous voltages present in the monitor, even after it's been off for a while, that can shock or even kill you.

So many people are replacing monitors today with flat screens that you should be able to find one for very little money or even free. If there are resale shops (Goodwill, etc.) in your area, that's a good source. I've seen monitors in shops around here for $10. There are also flea markets, ads in your local newspaper, Craigslist online. It would be safer and less costly to think about replacing your monitor.
