Question about Sony Handycam CCD-TRV75 Camcorder

1 Answer

Error Code C:31:00 in a Sony CCD-TRV75 Handycam Camcorder

Tape will not play/record in either Power or VTR mode. After selecting "eject" tape, the tape will eject. However a new tape cannot be reloaded into the machine. The autoload feature closes part way (in towards the body of the camera), but the tape will not drop down into a usable position within the camera. Error code C:31:00 flashes rapidly in the upper right corner of the view finder along with an underlined up arrow in the display window on the left sid eof the machine.

Sony CCD-TVR-16 Handycam tape keeps ejecting and the problem code is c 21:00

You should remove the tape, check it is not full up, or replace it with new tape, I had this problem weeks ago, turned out the write-protect tab on tape had got pushed over to prevent recording.

Tape will not run

The "will not run problem" was solved by replacing the CR-2025 Lithium battery. The eject symbol continues to appear sometimes and I can remove it and continue operating the camera by turning the power supply "Off then On" again. Camera is now running a recorded cassette but quality of picture is low.

Sony ccd trv218e, recording & playing back does'nt work

I had that problem also and I found that using smaller tapes helped. I was using the 120 minute tapes, I think they may be too heavy.

1. I removed the battery. 2. With the power switch On position and holding the tape ejected I inserted the battery back on & it ejected the stuck tape.

Error Code C:32:11 Tape does not eject

try removing the button cell battery, main battery, and any other power source from the camera and let it sit for one hour. THen using only the AC adaptor, see if the camera works, if it doesn't then you may have to take it to a repair shop, cause the cassette door has malfunctioned.

Error code C:32:20

My best solution, is to pull all power sources form the camera for 24 hours. If this does not work, then take the small screws surrounding the Tape housing, in order to try and get the tape out. Best of luck dude ;)

Tape ejects every 60 to 90 seconds regardless of the mode the camera is in

The flip up cover over the cassette housing has the "eject" button built into it. Sony has had problems with the flexible harness that connects this door to the camera body. The harness rubs against the metal frame of the camera and causes various malfunctions such as the constant eject symptom you are having. Sony service in Laredo, TX can repair this for you, it is no big deal. Good luck, this is a nice camera! Joe Weibel customelectronics.org
