Question about Samsung Computers & Internet
I have a Samsung notebook and it just turned off off itself and when I try starting it, it turns on for a second and then off again. The second light from right is red, what does that mean and why won't my laptop start again?
I would say the laptop is overheating. But wont be able to say without doing a few things. give the model number of the laptop so that we can get the error light info from the user guide. what happens is you leave the laptop for a while and turn is on again?
if it goes on then is is overheating and needs cleaning otherwise the could be other problems an the best would be so contact Samsung support to help trouble shoot .

SOURCE: Compaq Presario F500 - won't
check the power supply, either the power cord or your power supply in the laptop.
and NATurally..happens aFTER the warranty expires, that sounds about right.

When you say turning on and off all the time until I disconnect the charger, IS the charger running the machine and then after so long cutting out? you leave it and it works , if so its overheating
Machine will need fan and all ducts cleaning and most likely replace arctic silver on psu
IF on the other hand its not running more likely the charger is not powering the machine or charging battery in which case you will need new charger
hope this helps get back to me if you need more help

SOURCE: Compaq Presario F700 wont boot
I had the same black screen problem with my Compaq Presario f700.
I went to the HP website to troubleshoot and found that a hard reset fixes the blank screen issue.
To perform a Hard Reset, unplug the AC power adapter and remove the battery, and then press and hold down the Power button for about 6 seconds. This will drain any residual charge in the capacitors and reset the power management controls to their default condition.
This fixed my problem.
I hope it helps you.
