Logitech Wireless Access Duo Optical Mouse and Keyboard combo. Using Vista. Worked fine until today. Now mouse works, but keyboard won't. I've noticed that the sleep button works from the keyboard, so I know it's connecting; but I can't type anything. My only clue is, my wife was using our remote hard drive, plugged into a USB port, when she first complained about the keyboard "not working."

    Thanks MrDallasIT. My keyboard-mouse combo is an Access Duo Optical Mouse and keyboard combo, not the EX110. Rather than use the Setpoint software, it uses the native driver that came with Vista, which I discovered when I went to download the Setpoint software suggested in your solution. I appreciate your effort. Let me know if you come up with another idea.

use another keyboard and mosue to access your PC.


the product came with CD, divers for the mosue/keyboard combination

reinstall the drivers onto the PC , then go to DEVICE MANAGER , make sure ther anrent any issues (yellow exclamation marks, are issues)

Hi, Please uninstall any logitech software version present on your OS (if available) - Then please proceed to clean boot. ( http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=228 ) -> Unplug all the USB devices connected to the computer ( Less keyboard + mouse ) please use corded kbd+mouse if
possible rather than a cordless device. -> Go to device manager -> Delete all the USB HOST CONTROLLER -- All of them -- -> The host controller might reinstall them itslef, let the computer handle the reinstallation -> If the computer does not reinstall the host controllers, trigger the detection using the DM function " Scan for
new hardware " ( The computer with magnifier icon ) -> Once reinstalled, clean boot -> Reinstall the software if available and/or plug the hardware when needed. -> Should work.
This TB delete the usb ports " memory " means if a device as been previously flagged with error, it will redetect
the device without the flag, unless there is some serious issue with the hardware/OS

Can't get cordless mouse and keyboard both working. Can only connect one or the other.


disconnect the small wireless dongle from the back of your computer..reboot the computer..put it back in,,and then press the connect button on bothe mouse and the keyboard to check,,the battery of teh mouse and the keyboard shud be checked if possible

Hotkey problems


I had the same problem but finally found a solution hidden in the depths of Logitech. It's quoted below. I had to do it a couple of times before it worked, and it seems that you need to reconnect the mouse at the same time. I didn't the first time and then the keyboard refused to work. (Finger trouble?) :-(

You may be able to reset the keyboard and resolve the problem by clearing the keyboard capacitors. To do this, remove the batteries from the keyboard and type continuously on as many keys as possible for one to two minutes. This action should simulate touch-typing; you should not press and hold only some keys down.
After you clear the capacitors, replace the batteries and synchronize the keyboard using the following procedure:
  1. Make sure the batteries are in correctly. A diagram on the device itself or in the Getting Started Guide should tell you the correct polarity for the batteries.
  2. Press the connect button on the receiver.
  3. Press the connect button on the bottom or right hand edge of the keyboard.
    NOTE: If you are using a Cordless Desktop System, you must do this procedure for both the mouse and the keyboard.
The "Connect" button on the mouse is quite small and usually requires a pencil tip or other small object to push it. Remember, ALL Logitech cordless devices will have a synchronization button. If you have the "Cordless Mouse" with Model Number (M/N) M-RN67, the button will be located in a small hole on the lower portion of the back of the mouse. You will need a paper clip to access the button.
