SOURCE: spin brushes spin freely on

If this is a Hoover Steam vac, the turbine which drives the brushes is bad. If not a Hoover, then what is it, they are different, need brand and model number.

SOURCE: brushes do not rotate

Sounds as though your drive belt has come off. Or you have an object stopping the brushes from rotating.

SOURCE: the brushes do not rotate when cleaning carpet. Is

(1) Assure the Brush Control on the hood is NOT set to the OFF position.
(2) Remove the brush assembly by pulling/unlatching it from base on each side.
(3)Does one of the brushes have the drive pin present? It should be about ¼ inch square, and two inches long. It attaches the brushes to the drive mechanism

My TB575EC weed eater will not start. It seems oil is some how getting into the air filter

The rings on the piston are passing too much oil/gas mixture due to the lost compression. Or, you have incorrectly mixed the oil and gas, if it uses a mixed fuel.

Husqvarna 235r brush cutter starts fine when cold but won't start when hot

There is a simple test you should do on this unit. first remove engine cover, then remove spark plug, then take soapy water and spray it around the base of the cylinder where it meets the crank case, if you have compressed air and a air gun, shoot air through spark plug hole and watch for bubbles around base of cylinder. be careful to only shoot very low pressure into unit. if you see bubbles there is an air leak, this is not repairable. new unit.

Why does it stall at 100% throttle?

Not really, if the fuel is old or has water in it.

Sound like the new carb diaphragm. May be sucking air.

You covered all the bases, New Fuel lines, Filter and Cleaner

Try restricting the air flow coming in and see if it smouths out.

My pojector every 15 minute tun off

Most likely reason is a blocked air filter, preventing sufficient cooling air from reaching the interior of the case. Remove and carefully clean, by washing in warm soapy water, or replace the air filter sponges. NOTE! If the sponges are old, they may fall to pieces when you try cleaning them, so you may have to source replacements from a Sony Service Centre.

Alternatively, one or more of the cooling fans may have a faulty bearing causing it to rotate slowly, requiring that it be replaced.

There may also be a problem with capacitors in the projectoirs power supplies

Husqvarna 128LD backfires through carb when increasing throttle.

Possibly an ignition module issue, on the advance settings. It could be sparking before the piston closes the fuel port from the carb

Air filter removal?

Clean your air filter in warm soapy water with a small brush. Rinse after cleaning and allow to fully air dry and then replace.

My ryobi lawn trimmer fuel cuts off while running and hard to start

A number of possibilities:
1. Air filter needs cleaning. Remove two screws at the side of the filter housing (has the choke control through it) and remove filter from inside. Clean in water with detergent. Allow to dry before saturating with 30SAE oil - squeeze to evenly distribute. Then replace.
2. Fuel tank is insufficiently full allowing air to get in when machine is rotated awkwardly.
3. Fuel line or carburettor jet blockage. Try a little compressedair down the line.
