Cool start remote starter

To put your Avital 7345L remote starter on vibrate instead of chirping, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the "Valet" button on the remote starter until the parking lights flash twice. This will put the remote starter into valet mode.
2. Press and hold the "Lock" button on the remote starter until the parking lights flash twice. This will turn off the chirping feature.
3. Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the remote starter until the parking lights flash twice. This will turn on the vibrate feature.
4. Press and hold the "Valet" button on the remote starter until the parking lights flash twice. This will exit valet mode and save your settings.
5. Test the remote starter to make sure that it is vibrating instead of chirping.

Note: If you have difficulty following these steps or if you have any other issues with your Avital 7345L remote starter, it is recommended that you consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

This may sound funny but my mom has a brand new Lincoln MKZ and was having the same problem with her remote starter. What I did was, I pushed the lock button on the remote and then pushed the start button and it started . Even though the car was already locked for some strange reason she has to push both if she wants to start it remotely . I'm not sure why this happens and not sure if it will work with your remote but its worth a shot. Good Luck

Were the lock and unlock wires connected to the system?

Do you have a Smartpass key or a regular key? What bypass are you using for the remote start system?

The seven flashes from your parking lights is the remote starter error diagnostic. Seven flashes is the message for neutral safety wire. The toggle switch under the dash is in the off position or, if the small, thin black with white wire is not connected to ground.

You should also be receiving an error message. If the parking lights flash six times, it relates to the hood shutdown wire(-) or the brake shutdown wire(+). If the parking lights flash seven times, it relates to the neutral safety shutdown. Check the toggle switch under the dash and flip it to the opposite position.

Lock: Left button will lock all doors. Double chirp indicates locked.
Unlock: Right button will unlock driver's door only. Hold unlock button app 6 seconds, it will unlock all doors including rear gate. Single chirp indicated unlock.
If the car chirps or lights flash 4x the alarm was triggered.
Panic. Press both buttons to activate emergency honk and flashing lights.
Valet mode: With optional alarm onlyPress the red alarm button on the left of the steering wheel. The light will quickly double flash. To re-set back to normal mode, press the red alarm light button again

Battery failed and lights flashing?
Parking lights will flash when the vehicle's battery is disconnected and reconnected.
To stop lights from flashing, either:
Press remote transmitter "UNLOCK" button once OR turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position and press programming button for one second (see below).
The vehicle interior (courtesy) light and door open warning light (DOOR AJAR indicator) will then illuminate for 60 seconds when the ignition is turned off, or until the doors are locked with the remote transmitter. Yes, the dashboard instrument panel lights will flash when the parking lights flash.

Programming or Overriding the Alarm when you have lost the remote
Open driver's door.
Turn ignition key to 'On'
Press and *hold programming button* in (see diagram, button under dashboard)
After 15 seconds the the door locks will cycle 3 times. Do not release Programming button.
Press lock (left) button the remotes to be programmed. The door locks will cycle one time. Exit programming mode by releasing Programming button under dashboard and turning key to off.

Code Alarm Programming Button is under dashboard on the kick panel by the driver's left knee, left of the steering column. If you can't find it, it might still be tucked up in the wiring harness higher up in that same general area. The botton is recessed in a plastic ring (see diagram).
This button must be pressed while programming remotes or if the battery was disconnected and the lights are flashing.

your remote starter is in valet mode, the door lock will still work but no remote start, try pressing the trunk button 3 times, if that doesn't work turn the ignition switch on and off 5 times

that system is part of D.A.S. 2( driver authorization system verson 2). the lights in the mirror will blink red when lock and green when unlock. during the self diagnoses portion they will blink simutanilusly when the remote key batteries are low and alternating when there is a malfunction with the key or other part of the driver authorization. it sounds like your remote key central locking batteries are low.
