Question about Alpine MRP-M450 Car Audio Amplifier

Can't get my amplifier to work.

I have a 99 GMC Denali I had a local store hook up all the stuff to adapt from bose system to a after market CD player a Alpine model# cda-9827 and I put a sony 1200 watt amp in to.My problem is I can't get the amp to work or push the subs.I've did everything.I also noticed when I un hook the rca the subs where still leting the sound from the radio come through. It's driving me nuts i really need help please.... Recently had this amplifier and 2 12'' Alpine type E subwoofers installed on my 2000 GMC Yukon Denali at best buy. They don't sound nearly as loud as they should. I know because I've had these subs and the same amp installed in 2 other cars.

The person that installed them at best buy recommended that I get a better stereo deck, but I'm still not entirely convinced that he wasn't just trying to sell me something. Especially since they worked fine on the last 2 cars that they were in, which were both Jeep Grand Cherokee's with only the stock decks. How can I get the thunder back?

Thanks in advance.

My homie had the same problem with his escalade they adapted an rca line adapter from the factory wiring to geta signal to his amplifier and it just wasnt hitting like it should so we installed a new deck and plugged the rca cords right into it and boomboom pow it was hittin like a champ-we figured that the stock premium system that was incoprporated into the truck had some sort of an onboard amp that was filtering the bass from the door speakers and which was limiting the bass output to the rca adapter and thus on down the line to the amplifier- so maybe ya might want to look into getting an aftermarket deck and see if that helps your cause-good luck

Installed a Sony Xplode into a 99 Blazer and everything on the radio works but will not play through the speakers

The Bose system is complex - it has an amplifier separate from the Bose compatible radio. This amplifier takes low level audio signals from the radio, not full driver outputs from a replacement radio, and by trying to use the replacement radio you may have blown the amplifier. If that is the case, you may not be able to go back to the original radio.
The only option you may have with the replacement will be to find the Bose amplifier and bypass the connections to feed the replacement radio outputs directly to the speakers. This may not be as simple as it sounds, as distribution to the various speakers comes from the amplifier, not the radio, and the wiring from the amplifier to the radio may not have all the wires you need. Before going on, you had better get a wiring diagram for the Bose system (service manual or Alldatadiy.com).

Hi -

Sony CD player Red / White RCA - > CD input RCAs on the Arcam.

From the Arcam Preamp Output RCA's, go to the Bose "Input". From the Bose "Output", you need RCA splitters to make them into four outputs to run your amplifier connections.clmrt5000_2.jpgclmrt5000_3.jpg

What do i need to install after market cd player in my 2004 GMC Sierra?

The sad part about installing into alot of GM cars is that the Harness is about $100 bucks

You need a Metra GMOS-01

You need a metra 40-GM30 ( Antenna adapter, since the stock plug wont plug into after market radio)

And a Metra 99-2003 ( dash kit

Please Help ....i have Bose Acoustimass 10, 5.1 system connected

Usually the LFE out is only a line out and is not amplified in any way, so first of all is your subwoofer self amplified or not? Cause if not, the LFE output won't be of much use to you. So if it's not self amplified you need an new amplifier to put between the receiver and the subwoofer. Any amp that supports RCA line-in input will do. Even a car stereo amplifier will work provided you can get a 12volt power supply to run it in the house. If the subwoofer is self amplified though, then all you need is to make an adapter cause none are readily available in stores to go from a RCA connector to 2 wires. You can buy a virgin RCA connector that you can wire yourself at The Source, Circuit City, or any electronics store you have locally, or if you have an old RCA to RCA wire you don't need anymore, you can just cut it in half, strip the 2 wires and you got you adapter right there.

Can't get my amplifier to work.

Any idea how this is all wired up?
I think what they have may used is an 'RF modulator kit' to get the signal from your stereo to the amp. These are commonly used when factory stereo's don't have any outputs on the back of them for adding external amps. Even so, when you unplug the RCA cables there should be no signal coming to the amp & no sound coming out of the speakers/subs that are subsequently connected to the amp either.
