SOURCE: Turntable not turning

I fixed the problem with my microwave turntable motor without having to replace it. I removed the motor from the microwave and placed it in a small vise. Using a very small flat head screwdriver I was able to pry up the four tabs holding the casing together. You may need a slightly larger screwdriver after that to bend them back out of the way so you can remove the motor cover plate. Carefully take out all the plastic gears and note their position for re-assembly. You will find that the primary gear, at the bottom of the rest of the gears is attached to the motor magnet. It has a shaft that acts as a bushing passing through the center motor magnet. On the underside it is attached to a plastic washer. This is where it breaks. The motor magnet spins free of the gear/bushing/washer assembly. I used JB Weld epoxy to glue this assembly back together and it works like brand new. Note: On mine there were four indentations on each side of the motor magnet which corresponded to little ?bumps? on the underside of the gear on top and washer on the bottom. Place all the plastic gears back into the motor in the correct order, slide on the motor cover plate and use a small cold chisel with a round end and tap hammer to bend the tabs back into place. If this worked for you please let me know ? karlet@bellsouth.net

Microwave is not make food hot

Hi.

The wave emitting part inside the microwave oven is called the magnetron. The waves emitted by the magnetron generate heat in food. When the microwave is running, turntable turns and light comes on but there is no heat it means that either the magnetron is faulty or the magnetron is not getting power. When the magnetron is not getting power parts such as the high voltage diode or capacitor must be tested or replaced. Testing and repair must be carried by a technician. Here some general troubleshooting: http://www.fixya.com/support/r2096491-microwave_works_normally_but_not_heat

Do you take the turn table out when using both the microwave and the oven (combie)

No; if you're using the microwave you need to leave the turntable in to ensure the food heats evenly.

If you use just the oven or grill you can still leave the turntable in; there's no need to remove it. But you could remove it if you wanted.

The Microwave equipment does not heat any thing when placed on the turntable. The turntable rotates, all the functions appears to be in place , but food does not get heated / cooked Model CE 945G (...

first check the HT fuse enlosed in a black or gray case or the micro switches at the door is faulty, if ok then the magnetron is dead and need replacement.

Sharp MW won't shut off

Sounds like it needs a new electronic board or PCB. Although I would consider a new microwave as your microwave is getting on in age and can be a danger to health or dangerous if something blows up.
