SOURCE: sony str-dg820. having a problem getting video on tv

Hook up Composite / Component Monitor Out wire from receiver to TV video input because receiver will not change analog input into HDMI
You need to connect receiver and TV through analog video terminals as above.
Actually you are expecting that receiver will convert DVD player and Xbox analog video input into digital HDMI signal for TV and This is incorrect.

SOURCE: Trying to connect cable box....

You should be able to pick any open audio device unless it says pre-amp only. If your manual shows a connection for a CD player or similar device it should support the cable box.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa

SOURCE: i just bought a yamaha rx-v365 receiver and hooked

Make sure that the DVD player is connected into the correct inputs on the receiver and that the receiver also has the correct input selected to play. If your TV also has component video inputs it is best to connect the player directly to the TV. Otherwise, make sure you have the TV connected to the receiver via component video out.

How do get my Acer lconia a3 10 inch iPad connect to the TV I've connected with HDMI leads but don't get anything

First off, determine if you have an Acer Iconia A3 tablet or an iPad.

If you have an Acer Iconia A3 tablet, then connect the HDMI port to a good quality HDMI version 1.3 or better cable. Make sure the ends match the sizes you need for your tablet and television.

If you have an iPad, call up the genius' in your local store to get them to walk you through how to hook it to your television.

Next, start playing something on whichever of your tablets, music, video, or some other type of media. Make sure to test before hooking it up that it is something that actually plays on the tablet you have, and has video and/or audio. If nothing plays on your television, then check the cable connections are properly seated.

How can I my 2004 Honda Goldwing mic to work with my Garmin Zumo 665 to answer my cellphone? The phone bluetooth connection works fine with the Garmin in my car, but my Honda mic does not work through the...

Hello,

The microphone input from the Zumo 665 motorcycle mounting cradle is the smaller 2.5mm jack.
Be sure to use this one as some microphone jacks will require a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter.
The audio output is the 3.5mm jack.
Be sure not to confuse the two.
It may be necessary to have a custom 5 or 7 pin DIN adapter made to connect between the GW audio system and the Zumo.
It would be best to consult with your local Honda GoldWing dealer for more information on interfacing the GW audio system.

Where do i plug in my ipod in the HK AVR65

There is not a direct connection you can use on this receiver, so you option is to purchase an inexpensive adapter that hooks into the headphone jack of you iPod/iPhone/iPad and splits off into an audio/video cable with a red and white RCA connection. Then you may either chose to hook it into the front input or a specific rear input to send the output to the receiver and play music through your receiver. I don't know for sure, but if you are looking to be able to control it via a remote also and potentially gain video output I think there may be an accessory docking station you can connect to your receiver and doc it to. Check the manufacturers website to see if your model supports this accessory.

Hook up eventide harmonizer to the pmp 6000

There are many models of the Eventide and how to hook them up will vary and depend if you have multiplle mics that are to be serviced. If you have multiple mics, I would be tempted to run the mics into some of the channels of the PMP but tur their faders to zero and send them to MONITOR 1. Come out of the MONITOR 1 jack to go into the Eventide and then run the Eventide into one of the line inout channels like 19/20. You would need to use balanced connections and some adapters from XLR to 1/4 inch to make the connections. There are MANY ways to configure this and depends what you are trying to do. If all audio is to go through the Eventide, then wire it as an "INSERT" for the power amp. This would require a special cables.

How to hook up a sound system

Go to Radio Shack. Find the phono adapter and cable section of the store. The adapter you want has a one eighth inch male plug on one end, and a set of female phono plugs on the other. Insert the male end of the adapter into the stereo headphone jack on the side of your television. Run a set of phono cables from the adapter to your receiver. Turn the volume of your television up to the maximum (100.) You should be able to switch between the different surround settings in your menu.

D510 how can I hook up to my stereo?

The two ports on the laptop are most likely a mic input and a headphone output.
Connect a cable (stereo) from the headphone output to the stereo input of your amp.
