Question about Dell E173FP 17" LCD Monitor
There are 4 transistor c5707 when these get weak of fail they cause the voltage for the lcd bacxk light to turn off causing a no back light or dark screen if you can see the display but its very dark then you have bad transistors and if you replace them and it works buthave a wavy look you needto also replace the filter capacitors all ways look for cap that are bubbbled up on top it is a sure sign off a dead or bad cap. I repair these screens every day

That is either a defective controller board or a faulty LCD controller board.
Parts must be tested before replacement.
