Question about Maytag Atlantis MDE7400AY Electric Dryer
I recently moved my maytag atlantis dryer down 6 flights of stairs by myself with a dolly...hooked it up, turned it on , noticed that it wasnt heating...took a look at the wiring, realized i accidently hooked it black to red instead of red to black; re-adjusted them now it doesnt heat still. Please help me, what should i do?
Have you check outlet with a voltmeter or even checked breaker? Is your new rect' a 3 or 4 prong outlet? If you hooked up red's to black and black to reds it still should have worked. The 220 volt heating element is between the red's and blacks the 110 circuits would be between a red or black to white wire.
